The investment company inMedia announced closing the deal of the acquisition of INTECH,one of the largest content and service providers in Eastern Europe.

The company INTECH works in the telecommunications market since 2005. The company offers a full range of solutions in the area of VAS services, as well as in the field of M2M, mobile commerce, mobile advertising.

inMedia and INTECH began cooperation a year ago when the joint venture «INTECH NOVA» was created. Now inMedia acquires INTECH, at this INTECH will continue to function as independent business as a part of inMedia group.

The merged company under the brand INTECH will develop innovative products and solutions in the area of VAS to Russian and international telecom market and continue to work closely with many existing partners. Nikolay Kravchuk is appointed as the general director of INTECH.

Now in the global mobile market there is an active process of transformation of operator revenues: profit growth rate from voice services is reducing, and profitability from the transfer of mobile data traffic is continuously growing. The great interest to new technologies in VAS sphere is obvious.

According to AC&M in 2013 the total amount of VAS services market in the world increased by 16% and amounted to almost 410 billion dollars. Over the last year figure of VAS ARPU increased from 4.9 to 5.1 dollars, while the share of VAS in total revenue of mobile operators increased to 36%.

Total revenue from VAS in Russia in 2013 is increased by 17% compared with 2012 and reached 268 billion rubles. VAS share is 30.7%.

According to forecasts of the analytical company Ovum by 2016 year the world market of VAS will make 419 billion dollars, and Russian 405,4 billion rubles.
